The inn is very close to favourite attraction - the Oxford Botanic Garden and a favourite bar/restaurant - COCO. Something charming about inn's too-short beams and early evening workman drinkers
Dislikes:
The one chair in the room for two was pathetically uncomfortable/hard to budge. The 10:30 a.m. check out time is ridiculously early on a lazy holiday Monday morning but recommend to student travelers

It is near to the town centre so we could explore Oxford easily. We could park our car at the hotel and it was a lovely experience.

The only source of annoyance was the Expelair in the bathroom that slowed down and speeded up with monotonous regularity when turned on!

"Convenient location for central Oxford"
The Pub is located just over the Bridge from Magdalen and just ten minutes' walk from Broad St. My room was small but quiet. There is a side-entrance from the car-park for guests. Given the exorbitant Prices one is faced with when visiting Oxford, the Black Horse is worth a try. One should not be put off by the garish blue flickering lights in the front garden. Read less
